Thank you for visiting my website. It is a privilege to serve as your 13th District state representative. I am honored and humbled to work for you.

Washington state is facing a very serious set of challenges. Partisanship has gotten in the way of progress and this has not served you well. I pride myself on working across the aisle and bring a willingness to work with anyone who wants to make the state of Washington a better place to live, work, do business and raise a family.

We need to implement commonsense reforms and measures of accountability so government works more efficiently and effectively. Government should fulfill its most critical duties, and then let citizens prosper without interference.

Please keep in touch if you have any questions, comments or concerns. My door is always open. Thank you for the honor of serving you in the Legislature.

My Priorities

Prioritizing the public safety of our communities

I am committed to making public safety a top priority. Washington state is ranked among the most dangerous states in the country and is among the leaders in retail theft, auto theft and property crimes. Crime rates are amplified by the fact that Washington is ranked 51st out of the 50 states and District of Columbia for the number of law enforcement officers per thousand residents. Our caucus has offered real solutions focused on prioritizing public safety, supporting law enforcement, preventing crime, and helping victims.

Addressing the child care crisis in Washington state

Our state must address the needs of our child care and foster care systems as well as the mental health needs of our youth. Excessive rules and regulations have broken our child care system resulting in child care deserts across Washington. We need to look at reasonable rules and regulations.

Dent legislation to help mitigate the risk of wildfires through electric utility planning signed by the governor

After the 2023 legislative session, my House Bill 1032, to mitigate the risk of wildfires through electric utility planning and identification of best management practices, was signed into law. Developing solutions to prevent devastating wildfires in Washington state has always been a priority for me. I also created the bipartisan Wildfire Caucus to assist in those efforts.

Working to protect water, agricultural lands and natural resources

As the ranking Republican legislator on the House Agriculture and Natural Resource Committee, I am very concerned about the crises impacting our salmon, forest health and water quality. We need to make sure we are not ignoring these vital issues as we work to address other needs.
