Rep. Tom Dent appears on KXLY to discuss forest health and wildfires

Rep. Tom Dent, R-Moses Lake, talked with Rick Rydell on KXLY about the wildfire problem as well as issues involving the environment. Both topics circled back to forest health. Dent says that thinning the forest will not only reduce fire danger, it will also create room for new growth. New growth in the forest, he said, would use carbon.

The bottom line for Dent, who started the Wildfire Caucus when he was just a few months into his role as a freshman legislator, is to improve forest health and reduce the fuel load.
