Rep. Tom Dent joins KIT Radio to discuss taxes, childcare, and common-sense legislation

In this legislative update, Rep. Tom Dent, R-Moses Lake, joined KIT Radio to discuss budget tensions in Olympia, his take on the proposed wealth tax, and the possibility of a special session.

He also shared updates on key legislation he’s championing this session, including bills related to agriculture fuel exemptions, wildfire mitigation, pesticide safety, airport funding flexibility for small communities, and addressing the state’s childcare crisis.

Dent also spoke passionately about his bill to rename the I-90 bridge near Vantage as the Medal of Honor Bridge–a tribute inspired by a personal connection to a war hero and Medal of Honor recipient.

Known for his practical, common-sense approach, Dent emphasized the importance of giving working families, small communities, and the essential industries the breathing room they need to thrive.

Listen to the full interview and hear more about Dent’s work and what’s ahead in the final weeks of the 2025 session.
